Alvin ISD Education Foundation Teacher and Paraprofessional Scholarship

Alvin ISD Education Foundation Teacher and Paraprofessional Scholarships are designed to support current teachers and paraprofessional staff members who wish to further their education at an accredited college or university. This scholarship is intended for those pursuing a first master’s degree in education or a related field (for teachers) or a bachelor’s degree in education (for paraprofessionals). To be eligible, applicants must plan to continue working for Alvin ISD and contributing to the success of our students. This scholarship is not intended for PhD candidates, certifications, or training programs.

Persons Eligible to Apply for Scholarship:

Any Alvin ISD employee with at least three years of continuous service as a teacher or paraprofessional may apply for up to $1,000 in scholarship funds. Applicants must commit to remaining with Alvin ISD for at least 1 year following the semester in which the funds are spent. Funds must be spent within 1 year of receiving award.
• Master’s degree candidates must be full-time teachers enrolled in or planning to take a minimum of 3 credit hours per semester.
• Bachelor’s degree candidates must be full-time paraprofessionals enrolled in or planning to take a minimum of 3 credit hours per semester.

Scholarship application opens on January 8, 2025 and closes on February 13, 2025.
